NOTES:
Empress Valley released V1/2 unexpectedly, catching collectors off guard. It is the first release of this show in a while and like Afterburner (Cashmere CSCD-004/5/6) is a mix between the primarily used soundboard tape with the audience tape used to complete the gaps including the long introduction over the venue’s PA system. The soundboard tape, compared to previous releases, sounds more hissy and dull. The packaging is nice. It comes in the EVSD long tray with a slipcover depicting the old Houses Of The Holy advertisment printed on a beige background.

Excellent-sounding three disc set of Led Zeppelin's show at the Seattle Coliseum on 17 July 1973. Sourced from soundboard tapes, it has occasional but virtually unnoticeable audience-sourced patches. Evidently one of the twenty top Led Zep bootlegs out there (see reviews at http://www.bootlegzone.com/album.php?name=flying§ion=23), though for me the early shows are better for their energy, and the lack of thiry minute drum (and other) solos... Bands' shows coalesce over the years, and the earliest shows tend to be the most varied and thus more interesting, although of course generally less well recorded.
